Module details are on the dental clinic software features page, and the odontogram is covered in depth under dental charting software.
Which plan suits your clinic
Clinics comparing the two paid plans are really deciding one thing: whether they need the clinical side or only the front-desk side.
Choose the limited plan if…
You want the diary, prescriptions, invoicing, payments and reports off paper, and the clinical record stays where it is today. It suits a practice whose first problem is the appointment book and the billing book, not charting.
Choose the recommended plan if…
You want examinations and investigations, treatment plans, dental charting, transactions, inventory, revenue share and accounting as well. If charting and treatment planning are the reason you started looking at software, the limited plan will not do what you came for. A clinic that pays associates a percentage also needs this plan for revenue share.
Use the free month to find out which you are: it unlocks everything, so you can see whether your team actually reaches for the clinical modules on real clinic days. Solo practices can compare the two in dental software for solo dentists.
Payment and billing
The exact amount and the payment route are confirmed with your clinic before any billing, so nothing is charged without agreement. Invoicing arrangements, including an invoice addressed to the clinic or practice company, can be requested when you set the plan up. Plans are published in INR, USD, GBP; a clinic in India is quoted in rupees, and clinics elsewhere in $ USD or £ GBP. Billing is per clinic per month, with no per-seat charge, and moving from the limited plan to the recommended plan can be done at any time. Contact the Dentrah team with a billing question and you will get a reply within one working day.
Commercial terms
- Priced per clinic per month, not per user; staff logins are not charged per seat.
- Published in INR, USD, GBP; the exact amount and payment route are confirmed with the clinic before billing.
- No setup fee and no onboarding or data-import fee.
- No long-term contract; a clinic can move from the limited plan to the recommended plan at any time.
Dentrah runs on the jDent dental practice platform. Your clinic account opens at app.jdentclinic.com and the mobile app is listed as jDent in the app stores. Dentrah is operated by Jantrah Tech Co UK Ltd, 60 Overstone Road, Luton LU4 8QZ, United Kingdom.
Getting started
There is nothing to install: staff log in from a browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and the Android and iOS apps use the same clinic data. Existing patient records can be imported from spreadsheets or another system with no import fee. The free first month unlocks every module, so a clinic decides between the plans on real clinic days rather than from a feature list. All modules are described under dental software features, and the billing side under what every dental invoice should show.
What no plan includes
These limits are the same on the free month, the limited plan and the recommended plan. They are not upsells.
- Payments are recorded, not collected: there is no built-in card or online payment processing, and no payment-gateway integration.
- No insurance claim submission or electronic claims processing.
- No national health-record or e-prescribing integration.
- Support is provided remotely, in English, over WhatsApp and email, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (UTC+5:30). There is no in-person or on-site support.
- The software interface and voice dictation are in English.
- No tax module: invoices show the clinic's own prices, and tax such as GST or VAT is not calculated.
A few further points matter specifically to Indian practices, including UPI, ABDM and ABHA, GST on treatment and where clinic data is hosted. They are set out on the page for dental clinic software in India, and the tax question on its own in GST on dental treatment.
Working out whether dental software pays for itself
At about ₹690 a month the question is narrow: does it recover about the value of one routine procedure? For most clinics the answer comes from three places rather than from a feature list.
- Outstanding balances you cannot currently total. Part payments in a book are the most common quiet loss in a single-chair practice.
- Associate commission disputes. If you pay a treating dentist a percentage, arithmetic both sides can see removes an argument.
- Stock that runs out mid-procedure or expires unnoticed.
Measure those three during the free month rather than browsing features. That is the number that decides it.
