Dental Patient Management
Each patient has a digital record with an MRN, contact details, medical history, allergies and alerts. One timeline merges the patient's appointments, examinations, treatment plans, procedures, prescriptions, invoices, payments and uploaded files, so staff stop searching paper files.

Doctors, Staff and Branches
Each doctor has a specialisation, a commission percentage and a weekly schedule of working days, start and end times, appointment duration and serial type. Every staff member gets an individual login with per-module permissions, and one account can run multiple branches.

Odontogram and Dental Examinations
The interactive 32-tooth odontogram lets the dentist record findings such as caries, filling, RCT, crown, extraction, implant or missing directly on each tooth, with adult and child jaw options and multi-tooth selection when one finding applies to several teeth. Dental Treatment Plans with Voice Notes

Digital Dental Prescriptions
Prescriptions are written from the patient's record. A medicine catalogue fills dosage, frequency and duration, the dentist adds instructions and notes, and the prescription prints on the clinic letterhead and stays in the patient's history.

Dental Billing and Payments
Invoices are itemised with quantity, price and discount per line, accept part payments, show outstanding balances and print on the clinic letterhead. The billing currency is set once in the clinic profile, so every invoice is raised in the clinic's own currency. Payments are recorded as cash, card or bank transfer: Dentrah records how the patient paid rather than collecting the money, so there is no card or online payment processing and no payment-gateway integration. Dental Inventory Management
Inventory keeps stock levels of dental materials and supplies, with low-stock alerts so a material does not run out mid-procedure.
Cash-Basis Clinic Accounting
Accounting records money in and money out: patient payments, clinic expenses and doctor payouts, in a transaction ledger. It is cash-basis bookkeeping for a clinic, not a double-entry accounting suite.

Administrators maintain the dropdown values used across modules, the clinic profile (including currency and letterhead) and the WhatsApp reminder templates, so data entry stays consistent for every staff member.
How the Modules Connect
The modules share one patient record. A finding charted on the odontogram becomes a line in the treatment plan, finished procedures become invoice lines, payments reduce the outstanding balance, and each paid line drives the treating doctor's commission and the accounting ledger. Nothing is retyped between the chair and the front desk.
Getting Started and Mobile Access
There is nothing to install: staff log in from a web browser, and the Android and iOS apps work on the same clinic data. Dentrah runs on the jDent dental practice platform. Your clinic account opens at app.jdentclinic.com and the mobile app is listed as jDent in the app stores. Existing patient records can be imported from spreadsheets or another system with no import fee, and the first month (30 days) is free with every module. What the Features Do Not Include
- Patient self-booking and a patient-facing app.
- Automated bulk SMS or WhatsApp sending (reminders are sent by staff, one tap at a time).
- Payments are recorded, not collected: there is no built-in card or online payment processing, and no payment-gateway integration.
- No insurance claim submission or electronic claims processing.
- No national health-record or e-prescribing integration.
- Support is provided remotely, in English, over WhatsApp and email, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (UTC+5:30). There is no in-person or on-site support.
- The software interface and voice dictation are in English.
- No tax module: invoices show the clinic's own prices, and tax such as GST or VAT is not calculated.
