What Dentrah is, and the problem it solves

Most small dental clinics still run on a paper register, an appointment diary and a separate billing book. Records get mislaid, a treatment plan agreed verbally is remembered differently by patient and dentist, an associate's share is argued over at the end of the month, and nobody can say precisely what the clinic earned.

Dentrah is dental clinic management software written for dentistry rather than a generic clinic system. The record follows the patient through one chain: a clinical examination, findings marked on the interactive 32-tooth odontogram, a priced treatment plan, an itemised invoice in the clinic's own currency, and the doctor payout calculated per invoice line. Dentrah runs on the jDent dental practice platform. Your clinic account opens at app.jdentclinic.com and the mobile app is listed as jDent in the app stores. How the platform is built, hosted and secured is described on the technology page.

Who it is built for

Private dental clinics: a single-chair practice run by one dentist, a clinic with several associates, or an owner running more than one branch from a single account. Pricing is per clinic rather than per user, so staff logins are not charged per seat, and the free first month unlocks every feature for 30 days without a credit card. Single-chair practices can see the detail in dental software for solo dentists.

How we work

The team works remotely. Support is provided in English over WhatsApp and email, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (UTC+5:30), and enquiries are answered within one working day. There is no call centre and no on-site visit: a demo, the setup of your clinic profile and any data import are done with you over a screen share or chat. Setup and data import are not charged for.

Everything published on this site is meant to be checkable before you spend money: what each plan includes, what the software cannot do, and who you are buying from. We do not publish customer counts, ratings or testimonials.

What Dentrah deliberately does not do

These limits apply to every clinic, in every country. It is cheaper to read them now than to discover them in week three:

• Payments are recorded, not collected: there is no built-in card or online payment processing, and no payment-gateway integration.
• No insurance claim submission or electronic claims processing.
• No national health-record or e-prescribing integration.
• Support is provided remotely, in English, over WhatsApp and email, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (UTC+5:30). There is no in-person or on-site support.
• The software interface and voice dictation are in English.
• No tax module: invoices show the clinic's own prices, and tax such as GST or VAT is not calculated.

Two things are also still to come: patient self-booking and a patient-facing app, and automated bulk SMS or WhatsApp sending (reminders are sent by staff, one tap at a time).

Where Dentrah is used

Dentrah is browser-based and sold internationally, with an English interface and plans published in INR, USD, GBP; each clinic bills its own patients in its own currency. India is the main market today, and the points that only matter there — rupee pricing, GST on treatment, how UPI payments are recorded, and what ABDM and ABHA do not connect to — are kept on one page: dental clinic software in India (INR pricing, GST, UPI, ABDM).
